The concentration of sugar is higher inside a cell than outside the cell. The concentration of water inside the cell is lower th

an it is outside. Sugar cannot pass through the cell membrane.
What will happen to the concentrations of water and sugar?

A.
Water will move into the cell in a process called osmosis. The concentrations of sugar and water will become similar inside and outside the cell.

B.
Water will move out of the cell in a process called osmosis. The concentrations of sugar and water will become similar inside and outside the cell.

C.
Water will move into the cell in a process called diffusion. The concentration of sugar will be greater inside than outside.

D.
Water will move out of the cell in a process called diffusion. The concentration of sugar will be less inside than outside.

A because osmosis will act to balance the concentrations of water inside and outside the cell. As this happens, sugar outside the cell will dissolve into the water and be moved across the cell membrane with it into the cell. This continues until the concentrations are equal.

Nebula - protostar - main sequence star. The hydrogen gas in the nebula is pulled together by gravity and it begins to spin and
andrezito [222]

Answer:

The mass of a star determines its life cycle, that is, more the mass, shorter will be its life cycle. The mass of the star is determined by the concentration of matter, which is found within its nebula. In the nebula, with time, the hydrogen gas comes in close proximity with each other due to gravity and starts to spin.

With the brisk spinning, the gas heats up and turns into a protostar. The temperature now reaches 15,000,000 degrees and within the core of the cloud, the phenomenon of nuclear fusion takes place. The cloud now contracts a little, starts to glow brightly, and turns stable. The cloud now becomes a prime sequence star, and will stay in this phase for millions of years, the Sun of our galaxy is in this stage at the moment.

What is secreted by the gastric mucous neck cells and pancreatic duct cells to neutralize stomach acid?
erik [133]

Answer:

Bio carbonate ions

Explanation:

The pancreas secrets an aqueous mixture ( water, digestive enzymes and bicarbonate ions) during digestion of food substances from the stomach into the duodenum to begin the process of absorption and assimilation.

The pancreatic duct are lined with duct cells. These are cells which secretes HCO3- ,into the aqueous mixture. This ion is basic. Therefore it  neutralizes the acidity of the  of  the chyme to  released from the stomach to enable the pancreatic enzyme to work.

The bicarbonate ions also prevent the walls of the pancreases from getting burnt by the effect if the acidity of the chyme.
