He is an English researcher who changes to the New World with, afterward, his wife Hester Prynne. Chillingworth, a clinician and scholar of experimentation, efforts to travel from England to Puritan Boston. Roger Chillingworth is the antagonist of the novel. This is so since throughout the story he is looking for vengeance. He is a stationary character since he does not alteration his mind about receiving vengeance
