Answer:

One of the factors that helped the Nazis rise to power was propaganda. The Nazis used propaganda throughout the late 1920’s and early 1930’s to boost Hitler’s image, and, as a result of this and other aspects, he became extremely popular. The Communist Party in Germany also argued that to end the Great Depression, Germany needed a government like the Soviet Union’s: the government should take over all German land and industry from capitalists, who were only interested in profits for themselves. Communists promised to distribute German wealth according to the common good. The Nazis blamed the Jews, Communists, liberals, and pacifists for the German economic crisis. They promised to restore Germany’s standing in the world and Germans’ pride in their nation as well as end the depression, campaigning with slogans such as “Work, Freedom, and Bread!”

What caused the United States to enter world war 1 after three Years of neutrality
Andru [333]
There are many reasons for the US to enter world war 1, including:

Unrestricted warfare: The german submarine fleet continued to sink US and other neutral ships that had supplies to send to the Allies to try to cut off Allied material power.
Sinking of Lusitania: With 128 Americans on board, the Germans sank the Lusitania, which caused outrage among the US citizens. The Germans had to stop unrestricted warfare for awhile. However, with Germany losing, they had to change to a more drastic measure, and continued it.
Zimmermann telegram: The last straw to the US, in which the German prime minister (?) sent a telegram to Mexico, asking it to join Central power side, in exchange for help to take back all the and they lost to the US during the Mexican-American war.

What is the present-day country in which the events mentioned in the text took place?
SashulF [63]

Answer:

The present-day country  is Thailand

Explanation:

Mongkut was the 43rd child of King Rama II. He was also known as Phrachomklao, posthumous name Rama IV, (born Oct. 18, 1804, Bangkok, Thailand, died Oct. 15, 1868, Bangkok), king of Siam (1851–68) who opened his country to Western influence and initiated reforms and modern development.

Mongkut was barely 20, when his father died in 1824. However the royal accession council instead chose his older who they considered has more experienced than him to reign as King Phranangklao (Rama III). To stay away from politics, Mongkut chose to become a Buddhist monk. A few years later he encountered a particularly pious monk who inspired Mongkut to turn to the strict discipline and teachings of early Buddhism. He became an accomplished scholar and abbot of a Bangkok monastery, which he made a centre of intellectual discourse that gradually came to involve American and French Christian missionaries and the study of Western languages and science. The reformed Buddhism that Mongkut developed gradually grew into the Thammayut order, which to the present day is at the intellectual centre of Thai Buddhism. Mongkut’s friends in the 1840s included many leading princes and nobles who similarly were excited by the West. Convinced of the necessity of accommodation with the West, they took the lead in managing the succession of Mongkut to the throne when King Rama III died in 1851.
