Deaths add emotional value to a story. Deaths can be important to a storyline because it effects many things. It effects the other character's emotions, and it's one less character to fulfill things and help with problems.

Also, once a reader has started to feel things from a story, it's harder for them to put the book down. It makes the reader feel a deeper connection to the characters and plot. It adds interest.

egoroff_w [7]
Answer:
The two exams will be taken by Rita next term.

Explanation:
With the passive voice, the verb (taken) acts upon the subject (Rita)- it tells us what is done to someone or something.

So the sentence structure for a passive voice sentence is:
Object (exams) + verb (taken) + subject (Rita)

Hope this helps you and good luck with your exams! :D

Read the following excerpt from A Room of one's Own by Virginia Woolf:
slava [35]

Answer:

C. Women have always faced negative attitudes in jobs that were traditionally dominated by men.

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

A. Women had faced negative attitudes in Shakespeare's time, but in Woolf's time, these attitudes had improved.

B. Women have always faced negative attitudes in music and painting but not in literature or acting.

C. Women have always faced negative attitudes in jobs that were traditionally dominated by men.

D. Women have faced negative attitudes in some areas, but other areas have always been open to them.

In this passage, Woolf provides several examples of women who became involved in occupations that were perceived as being only open to men. She tells us that these women often faced opposition or ridicule for their decision. They were compared to dogs, or their attempts were mocked. She also provides a contemporary example to show that this attitude continued to dominate the existence of women of her time.

What can an author do to promote <br> a readers suspension of disbelief
otez555 [7]

Answer:

The correct use of images, symbols and word play will be vital to create, and promote, a readers suspension and disbelief. These images, the environment of suspense created by them, and the words used by a writer, will enhance this suspension and this disbelief. In literature this is vital as it is one way in which a writer will be able to maintain a reader´s interest in the story. Without this, the emotional and sensible part of the reader will not be engaged and soon interest will fall. But through the use of suspensful words, and images, as well as the use of symbols that create a sense of wonder, and leave the reader wishing for more, the writer promotes that sense of suspension and disbelief.
