The ancient Greeks introduced many ideas that influenced the way we live today.The Greeks lived on small, rocky, plains in southeast Europe. The ancient Greeks were unable to farm most of their land, so they turned to the sea, where they became excellent [either seamen or sailors].

Explanation:

This is super vague and hard without context, but I tried my best. The one I'm least confident about is plains. They mostly lived on mountainsides, but they did also live on rocky plains. I'm 98% sure I'm right. Google it.
