Answer:

a = 5/6 , b = -3/10

Step-by-step explanation:

3a-5b:3a+5b=1:4

3a-5b / 3a +5b = 1/4

Cross multiply

3a -5b =4 ..........(1)            solve simultaneously

3a + 5b = 1 ..........(2)    using elimination method

-----------------------

Add equation 1 and 2

6a = 5

Divide both sides by 6

6a/6 = 5/6

a =5/6

Put value of a into equation 2

3a +5b = 1

3(5/6) + 5b = 1

5/2 + 5b = 1

5b = 1 -  5/2

5b = - 1½

5b = - 3/2

Divide both sides by 5

5b/ 5 = -3/2 ÷ 5

b = -3/2 × ¹/5

b = - 3/10

Therefore a = 5/6 , b = -3/10

Andreyy89

Answer:

0.05 amps.

Step-by-step explanation:

I remember this one from high school.

V=IR (V=Voltage, I=Current, and R= Resistor) *Substitue values.

I=V/R

0.6/12

Divide \frac{6}{120} = 0.05 Ampere

A scatter plot showed a positive correlation for 11 bowlers. As the number of strikes, s, a bowler made in a game increased, the
almond37 [142]

Answer:

s = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation for the line of best fit for the data is p=25s+40.

Where p is no. of points and s is no. fo strikes

We need to find the number of strikes made by a bowler with 140 points.

Put p = 140

p=25s+40

140 = 25s+40

Subtract 40 to both sides,

140-40 = 25s+40-40

100 = 25s

⇒ s = 4

So, there are 4 strikes made by a bowler with 140 points.

One third of a bird eggs hatched. If 2 eggs hatched , how many eggs did the bird lay
VLD [36.1K]

Answer:

6 eggs

Step-by-step explanation: you need to divide 2 by one-third. So, set it up. 2/1 divided by 1/3. The method I use is keep, change, flip. Keep 2/1, and flip 1/3 to 3/1. Now you have 2/1 multiplied by 3/1 which is 6.
