We know, point on a line segment which cut a line into the ratio m : n is given by :

Putting value of point A and B and m =2 and n = 5 .

We get :

$[(\dfrac{2(2)+5(18)}{2+5}),(\dfrac{2(6)+5(12)}{2+5}) ]\\\\(\dfrac{94}{7},\dfrac{72}{7})$
