Remember that (a/b) times (c/d)=(a times c)/(b times d)

also remember that
a times (b times c)=(a times b) times c
therefor
lets say you wanted to do
120/4
remember that 120=10 times 12 and 12/4=3 so
120/4=12/4 times 10/1=3 times 10=30

so you have
3600/9
remember that you try to get rid of the zeroes as much as possible
3600=36 times 100
3600/9=36/9 times 100/1
remember that 36/9=4 because 4 times 9=36 (mulitplication facts)
36/9=4
3600/9=36/9 ties 100/1=4 times 100=400
answer is 400

Find f(-4) if f(x) = 3x - 6.

A 6
B -6
C 18
D -18
brilliants [131]

Answer:

f(-4) = -18

Step-by-step explanation:

f(-4) means x = - 4

So Plug in x = - 4 into f(x) = 3x - 6

f(-4) = 3(-4) - 6

= -12 - 6

= -18

So

f(-4) = -18

Use your choice of equal values, substitution, or elimination to solve the
Blizzard [7]

Answer:

For this scenario, I used the elimination method. Organize the equations, so it's easier to subtract from each other. My x-variable will represent the number of hot dogs and my y-variable will represent the number of sodas.

3x+2y=213

x + y =87

We need to make sure one of the monomials are alike in each equation, so we can eliminate a variable. Distribute 3 to each number/variable in the second equation.

3x+2y=213

3(x+y=87) --> 3x+3y=261

Now we can eliminate x.

  3x+2y=213

- 3x+3y=261

----------------------

        -y=-48

Divide -1 to both sides to get y=48. So, you sold 48 cans of soda. Now, we can find the number of hot dogs by substituting 48 into the second equation to get x+48=87. Subtract 48 to both sides to result with x=39. So, you sold 39 hot dogs.
