Plains are great for farming because it provides flat soil which is much easier to harvest crops on than terraces, which are built on sides of mountains to plant crops

It's easier to farm on plains because it's flat, it doesn't have any kind of trees to block the sunshine from going to the crops, and it's just a good environment to plant crops in
