Algebra:Can someone help I don’t know where I went wrong but my answer is wrong
evablogger [386]

Hey there!!

3 ( x - 6 ) + 15 = 4 ( x - 1 ) + 4

3x - 18 + 15 = 4x - 4 + 4

3x - 3 = 4x

- 3 = x

x = -3

The mistake is , you have written -4 + 4 = 8

- 4 + 4 = 0

and - 18 + 15 = - 3 ( not - 33 )

correct it, you will get it

Hope helps!

1. 4x + 3(x-9) = 19
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

1) 4x + 3(x-9) = 19

or, 4x + 3x - 27 = 19

or, 7x = 19+27

or, 7x = 46

or, x = 46/7

◆ x = 6.57

2) 2(x-4) + 5x = 3

or, 2x - 8 + 5x = 3

or, 7x = 3+8

or, x = 11/7

◆ x = 1.57

3) 60 = 8y - 3(y-10)

or, 60 = 8y - 3y + 30

or, 60 - 30 = 5y

or, y = 30/5

◆ y = 6

4) 40 + 3c = 3 + 9(c-2)

or, 40 + 3c = 3 + 9c - 18

or, 40 + 3c = 9c - 15

or, 9c - 3c = 40 + 15

or, 6c = 55

◆ c = 9.166

I hope you understand..

Thank you...♥♥

Answer:

The answer si:

- 16 servings - 6 oz of salmon

- 24 servings - 9 oz of salmon

- 80 servings - 30 oz of salmon

- 100 servings - 37.5 oz of salmon

1 roll is 8 servings and it is also made of 3oz of smoked salmon. That means that 3oz of smoked salmon is needed fo 8 servings.

Now, let's made some proportions:

16 servings:

3 oz is for 8 servings, how much oz is for 16 servings:

3 : 8 = x : 16

x = 3 · 16 ÷ 8 = 6 oz

24 servings:

3 oz is for 8 servings, how much oz is for 24 servings:

3 : 8 = x : 24

x = 3 · 24 ÷ 8 = 9 oz

80 servings:

3 oz is for 8 servings, how much oz is for 80 servings:

3 : 8 = x : 80

x = 3 · 80 ÷ 8 = 30 oz

100 servings:

3 oz is for 8 servings, how much oz is for 100 servings:

3 : 8 = x : 100

x = 3 · 100 ÷ 8 = 37.5 oz
