For People Who Are Picky With Food: Quarantine is as bad as a plain, disgusting dish of food.

For People Who Don't Like Being Captive: Quarantine is as horrible as being in jail for a long time.

For People Who Love Gardening: Quarantine is as nasty as a garden who withered away.

For People Who Need The Outdoors: Quarantine is as saddening as a rainy, cold day which you can't go outside.

This quarantine sucks as much as wheat thins.

This quarantine has made me feel like a carrot.

Sometimes i paint myself orange, go in my backyard and bury myself in dirt and pretend i’m a carrot.

I want to die as much as hannah baker did when they called her thick.

Quarantine sucks as much as a vaccuum.

Lerok [7]

Answer:

In "The Lottery," one of the main ideas presented is the fact that all humans are ultimately on their own, and are responsible only for themselves. The story shows how solidarity is inexistent in this town, as no one is willing to defend those who are chosen in the lottery. This is likely a critique of the period of the two World Wars. During this time period, individualism became more prominent, and solidarity became less common.

The story is also a critique of mob mentality and the value of tradition. Despite the fact that the lottery is an outdated, damaging tradition, people feel forced to carry it out due to social expectations. Social pressure had also been prominent in past years, particularly during the Holocaust, where many common people committed horrible acts of cruelty due to tradition and social expectations.

Lubov Fominskaja [6]
Life is filled with many scary things in my life but sometimes you need  to make that as a good adventure.  Me and my mom was talking about the Catfish and it ended up being a big talk about it. I ended up writing a story about it and it is a popular story at school. I never ate catfish before so it was kind of  a good topic.
