Contact away from the ball with an opponent who is clearly not involved with a play is:
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

The correct option is intentional foul.

Explanation:

Intentional foul is the kind of foul in which an individual or defensive player deliberately commit the foul in order to stop the offense and it is usually for the time management.

It is committed purposely so that the fouled player will shoot foul shots and the defense could get the possession of the ball again.

In this case or situation, contacting away the ball from an opponent who is not involved in the play is an intentional foul.

A. on april 1, the company retained an attorney for a flat monthly fee of $3,500. payment for april legal services was made by t
77julia77 [94]

Assuming you are asked to enter the journal Entries:

A) The company records the accrued legal expense on April 30:

Debit: Legal Expense $3500

        Credit: Legal Expense Payable ($3500)

On May 12, the company has settled its payable by paying the bill:

Debit: Legal Expense Payable: $3500

        Credit: Cash $(3500)

B) The payment on April 20th is a increasing (debit) of interest expense and a decreasing (credit) of cash.

Debit: Interest Expense: 9,000

         Credit: Cash (9,000)

On April 30, we recognize the interest accrued as of that date, by increasing interest expense and interest payable

Debit: Interest Expense: $3,000

         Credit: Interest Payable: ($3,000)

C) If we are preparing a month-end statement, then we must recognize the accrued salary expense and related payable up until the end of April (Tuesday, April 30). We have accrued 2/5 of the 10,000 weekly salary payable. This amount is 4,000.

Entry on April 30:

Debit: Salaries and Wages Expense: $4,000

Credit: Salaries and Wages Payable: ($4,000)

Entry on May 3rd (to record the rest of the week’s salary expense and the payment of salaries, and also the settlement of the salaries payable recorded on April 30. Note that we have already recognized the other $4,000 of the salaries expense on April 30)

Debit: Salaries and Wages Expense: $6,000

Debit: Salaries and Wages Payable: $4,000

              Credit: Cash ($10,000)

Westfall Watches has two product lines: Luxury watches and Sporty watches. Income statement data for the most recent year follow
avanturin [10]

Answer:

Net income will be $352,500 more if the company continues with Luxury watches only.

Explanation:

Since the company discontinues Sporty watches operation, the company's variable cost is decreasing. However, the fixed expenses remain same as the company will use the space for producing Luxury watches. The effect of operating income will be as follows:

                                          Westfall Watch

              Income Statement (Contribution Margin approach)

Particulars $

Sales Revenue [$400,000+(400,000 x 250%)] 1,400,000

Less: Variable expenses

[$255,000 + ($255,000 x 250%)] (892,500)

Contribution Margin 507,500

Less: Fixed Cost (80,000)

Net Income 427,500

Therefore, the net income will be $427,500 which is $(427,500 - 75,000) = $352,500 more.
