In the first equation (2x+3), if you plug in the 3 for X, you get 9.

2(3)+3
6+3=9.

In the second equation (3x+1), if you plug in 3 for X, you get 10.

3(3)+1
9+1=10.

Therefore, no, the expressions are not equal when x=3.

When you plug in 2 for X in (2x+3), your answer will be 7.

2(2)+3
4+3=7.

When you plug in 2 for X in (3x+1), your answer will be 7.

3(2)+1
6+1=7.

Therefore, yes, the equations are equal when x=2.

If you do the same process for x=1, you will find that the equations are not equal when x=1.

I hope this helped. Best of luck!

Use the elimination method to solve the system of equations. Choose the correct ordered pair<br>
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Answer is B

Step-by-step explanation:

12x - y = 25 \\ 9x + y = 17 \\ x = \frac{17 - y}{9} \\ 12( \frac{17 - y}{9} ) - y = 25 \\

\frac{204}{9} - \frac{12}{9} y - y = 25 \\ \frac{204}{9} - \frac{21y}{9} = 25 \\ - \frac{21y}{9} = 25 - \frac{204}{9} \\ - \frac{21y}{9} = 2.33 \\ - 21y = 20.997 \\ y = - 0.99

y =  - 1 \\ x =  \frac{17 - y}{9}  \\ x =  \frac{17 -  - 1}{9}  =  \frac{18}{9}   \\ x = 2

Which graph represents a function?<br> Ay<br> ny<br> ty
nirvana33 [79]

Answer: it would be the fourth one with the line going straight across the top

Step-by-step explanation: To use the vertical line test, take a ruler or other straight edge and draw a line parallel to the y-axis for any chosen value of x.

If the vertical line you drew intersects the graph more than once for any value of x then the graph is not the graph of a function.
