John Milton's work which speaks of the people´s right to select and remove rulers is titled The Ternure of Kings and Magistrates.  In this book, Milton advocate for the right of people to execute a guilty sovereign, whether tyrannical or not. He also provides a theory of how people come into commonwealth and elect kings. Besides he explain what the role of a king should be and why his power should be limited thorugh laws and oaths.
