Answer:

The answers are: The eave my ancestors built on the roof is the best legacy they could make to protect my house from rainwater.

Explanation:

The eaves of the roof is a very important part of the roof of a house because it prevents the rainwater that flows over the tiles from dripping down the walls.

The legacy is a particular form of succession, whereby a deceased person leaves a concrete good or right, or a set of singular assets or rights to one or more persons.

The answers are: The eave my ancestors built on the roof is the best legacy they could make to protect my house from rainwater.

tangare [24]

Answer:

Precertification

Click to read the passage from "The Tell-Tale Heart," by Edgar Allan Poe. Then

answer the question.

How does the author effectively build suspense in this passage?

A.The use of figurative language

B.The lack of punctuation

C.The repetition of the word "louder"

D.The first person point of view

The right answer is:

The aspect of this passage that most creates suspense in the reader?

The use of figurative language. Thus, option "A" is correct.

How, explain your answer briefly?

In order for suspense to work in The Tell-Tale Heart by Allan Poe, this story needs figurative language. The vulture eye which terrifies and haunts the narrator builds suspense until it comes to a conclusion.

“It was open --wide, wide open --and I grew furious as I gazed upon it. I saw it with perfect distinctness, all a dull blue, with a hideous veil over it that chilled the very marrow in my bones...

but I could see nothing else of the old man's face or person: for I had directed the ray as if by instinct, precisely upon the spot.”

This language is giving little away to tease the reader. Edgar Allan Poe uses figurative language to develop an inventive story that averts a certain outcome with lots of suspense.

Thus, option "A" is correct.
