Intimacy vs. Isolation

Explanation:

Intimacy vs. Isolation: In psychology, the term "intimacy vs. isolation" is described as one of the different stages in the psychosocial theory which was proposed by Erik Erikson, and is considered as the sixth stage in his theory that generally occurs between nineteen to forty years i.e the young adulthood period of an individual's life.

During this stage, an individual is generally involved in sharing himself or herself intimately with someone else. The conflict that tends to occur at this stage is forming a loving or intimate relationship with another person.

Before the Fifteenth Amendment was passed, which states refused African-Americans the right to vote?
mr_godi [17]
#1) Before the Fifteenth Amendment was passed, which states refused African-Americans the right to vote?
Answer: The answer is C:some northern and southern states. Once approved by the required two-thirds majorities in the House and Senate, the 15th Amendment had to be ratified by 28, or three-fourths, of the states. Due to the reconstruction laws, black male suffrage already existed in 11 Southern states. Since almost all of these states were controlled by Republican reconstruction governments, they could be counted on to ratify the 15th Amendment. Supporters of the 15th Amendment needed only 17 of the remaining 26 Northern and Western states in order to succeed. At this time, just nine of these states allowed the black man to vote. The struggle for and against ratification hung on what blacks and other political interests would do.

Which statement best represents Roger Sherman’s argument in favor of equal representation in the Senate?
Arisa [49]

Answer: Small states are easier to manage politically, while large states are more likely to be corrupt.

Explanation:

During the Constitutional Convention of 1787, large states claimed to deserve more of a voice due to their larger populations, so they demanded congressional representation to be based on population.

Smaller states, fearing being ignored if that happened, wanted equal representation.

Roger Sherman, based on the idea of small states being easier to be handle politically, and large states being more prone to corruption, proposed the Connecticut Compromise with Oliver Ellsworth, which granted equal representation in the Senate and representation by population in the House, in a bicameral system that provided a balance of power.
