In short, Russian geography defeated Napoleon by being too big to transport supplies and too cold for troops to survive. There are a lot of geographic features that contributed to the French Invasion of Russia. Russia was muddy in summer and snowy in winter. Unlike Europe, in summer, Russia gets very humid.

Answer:As well as the sheer scale of the country and the immense distances that he had to contend with on the way to Moscow and the retreat thereafter, another major geographical feature was the climate.

Explanation:

In the first week of the invasion alone, over 10,000 horses were lost due to exertion in the intense summer heat. This number continued to rise dramatically as Napoleon pressed on, depriving him not only of much of the cavalry he would later need to cover his retreat but also of the ability to establish supply lines over the vast distances.

What econmic system did adam smith support in the wealth of nations?
Dmitrij [34]
Adam Smith's writings came to represent an economic system known as laissez-faire. This was the precursor to capitalism in the sense that the economy was governed by the invisible hands of supply and demand. Naturally, the supply and demand are affected and altered by buyers and sellers. So sellers would try to maximize their profit while competing with other sellers for business. Buyers would try to buy the BEST material without spending an arm and a leg. These cycles gave rise to the development of the more complex entity of capitalism. It also resulted in the polar opposite of economic socialis . i hope it helps
