If my friend told me that she cannot not go to college because she can’t afford it, I would suggest a number of ways so that I can help her. I would firstly emphasize on the importance of education so my friend knows that she is missing out on something major and she needs to work really hard to study.

I would suggest her to opt for scholarship programs that are offered by several colleges, there is a need based scholarship programs too. Moreover I would suggest her to find a job so she starts to earn and can fund her education.
