This might be a trick question. I did the problem and got the exact same answer. I got 31 x + 0.5. If there's anything they did wrong maybe its because they didn't put a zero before 5 so 5 could become a decimal?

let y =2t+5 be a linear function representing the distance from home for an ant t minutes after starting out from a location nea
Akimi4 [234]

Answer: T=1/2 Y + -5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

y=2t+5

2t+5 +-5= y +-5

2t=y-5 2t/2=y-5/2

t=1/2y+-5/2

= t=1/2y + -5/2

Which shows the correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the equation 0 = – 3x2 – 2x + 6 into the quadratic formula?
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

shows correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the given quadratic equation into quadratic formula.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The quadratic equation

We have to show the correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the given quadratic equation into quadratic formula.

The standard form of quadratic equation is then the solution of quadratic equation using quadratic formula is given as

Consider the given  quadratic equation

Comparing with general quadratic equation, we have

a = -3 , b = -2 , c = 6

Substitute in quadratic formula, we get,

Simplify, we have,

Thus,  and x_{2}=\frac{2-\sqrt{76} }{-6}

Simplify, we get,

Thus, shows correct substitution of the values a, b, and c from the given quadratic equation into quadratic formula.

Fill in the blanks below with the correct units. (a) Karen's desk is about 3 ? (b) Dan's refrigerator has a mass of 80 ? (c) The
Nezavi [6.7K]

Hello!

To solve this exercise, let's think a bit and choose the best option for each alternative.

(a) Karen's desk is about 3...

Well, a desk with 3mm or 3cm is too small, and with 3km is too big.

In this case, the best option is 3 meters (even though it's big, it's the best option).

(b) Dan's refrigerator has a mass of 80...

Usually, a refrigerator is heavy. So the best option is kilograms.

(c) The bucket holds about 5... of water.

5ml of water is too little, it fits in a spoon. The correct option is liters.

Answers:

a. meters

b. kilogr

The nestle house cookie recipe used 4.5 cups of flour, 3.5 cups of granulated sugar, and .75 cups of brown sugar what is the rat
horsena [70]
You can just substitute the names for the numers: (all sugar was 3.5+0.75=4.25)

a. granulated to brown sugar?
3.5:0.75
b. flour to brown sugar?
4.5:0.75
c. flour to all sugar?
4.5:4.25

but this looks ugly, so we can simplyfy it. Now, we can mupltiply all numbers by 100! (this will get rid of the .)

a. granulated to brown sugar?
350:75
b. flour to brown sugar?
450:75
c. flour to all sugar?
450:425

and they all are mupliples of 25, so let's divide all by 25!

a. granulated to brown sugar?
14:3
b. flour to brown sugar?
18:3
c. flour to all sugar?
18:17

now they all look good, but the second one can still be simplified:

a. granulated to brown sugar?
14:3
b. flour to brown sugar?
6:1
c. flour to all sugar?
18:17

that's the answer!
