The Judaism was the cultural trait that kept the Jews unified, unique, and to hold strong for their common interests.

Explanation:

The Jews are one of the most, if not the most tormented people across the human history. Multiple times they have been enslaved and conquered, and on multiple occasions they have been persecuted from their homeland, always making a big blow on the population and its preservation. The Jews though managed to preserve their culture and their identity throughout thousands of years and still do, and the main factor in it was their religion.

The Judaism was a religion that was practiced locally, only by one group of people. It was separating the Jews from the other people, which caused them huge problems more often than not, but it also made them unified and strong. The Jews saw their religion as something that can keep their identity and culture alive, so they always stuck to it, cherished it, and used it for maintaining relations and collaboration between each other in foreign lands.

What role did the Oregon issue play in the 1844 presidential election
tia_tia [17]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The role did the Oregon issue played in the 1844 presidential election was the following.

The Democratic party insisted that the United States had a genuine claim to demand Oregon as part of the US. At that time, the British controlled Oregon. This issue met the other territorial expansion demand: the annexation of Texas to the Union. That is why the Democratic candidate James Polk included in his platform the expansionist idea that later became the Manifested Destiny, the right of the US to expand and grow. Polk won the presidency by defeating Henry Clay, who opposed the annexation of Texas.
