Answer:  3) Detention

Explanation:

Detention is defined as the act of confinement of any person or citizen in official manner. He/she can be removed from liberty by taking them under custody as per law orders due to criminal charge or any other offence.

In this case, a person can surrender himself/herself to official custody or can be forcefully detained. The person has to serve detention period as per charges.

Other options are incorrect because acquittal, incrimination and entrapment are not the terms that describe detaining of person under custody in official terms. Thus, the correct option is option(3).

The Civil War impacted the Southern economy but not the rest of the country. With the loss of labor and destruction of plantations and farms, the South's economy stood still.

During Reconstruction, rebuilding of the South's economy began. Some farms and plantations were able to rebuild but had to reorganize if they had lost labor. Other areas of the South began to industrialize in a program called the "New South".
