Answer:

A bad idea, as A2 is not on the critical path.

Explanation:

Critical path is a path which is the shortest path of doing the activity.

When an activity is in critical path, then there is a benefit of crashing it. Or if it is not the part of critical path then the benefit is to crash the activity and then apply the spare resources in some activity which is a part of critical path.

Thus, crashing A2 which is not a part of critical path and then not deploying the resources on to the activities of critical path will not provide for any benefit.

It is ultimately not a wise idea.

Byte Computer Corporation acquired 90 percent of Nofail Software Company’s common stock on January 2, 20X3, by issuing preferred
natima [27]

Answer: Step by step explanation of the consolidated balance sheet is given in the attached document.

Explanation:

Consolidated Balance Sheet

A consolidated balance sheet presents the assets and liabilities of a parent company and all its subsidiaries on a single document, with no distinctions on which items belong to which companies. If your company has $1 million in assets and it purchases subsidiaries with assets of $400,000 and $300,000, respectively, then your consolidated balance sheet will show $1.7 million in assets, and the sheet will commingle those assets. For example, in the asset section, accounts receivable will list the total amount of receivables held by all three companies.

When to Consolidate

A company must issue consolidated financial statements whenever it owns a controlling stake in another business – that is, whenever it owns more than 50 percent of that business. If the parent company owns 100 percent of the subsidiary, this is pretty straightforward. Complications arise, however, if the parent company owns a controlling stake with less than 100 percent ownership. Part of the subsidiary belongs to someone else, and that must be reflected on the balance sheet.

On December 31, 2020, Berclair Inc. had 540 million shares of common stock and 4 million shares of 9%, $100 par value cumulative
Allushta [10]

Solution:

Numerator (Basic EPS): Net income = $900 million;

Preferred  dividends = $27 million (9% x $100 = $9/share x 3 million;

Since  the preferred stock is cumulative, the dividend is deducted whether  or not paid)

Denominator (Basic EPS): Weighted average # shares of common stock outstanding

1/1 – 12/31 => 540 x (12/12) =>  540 x 1.05 = 567

3/1 – 12/31 =>  (24) x (10/12) = (20)  x 1.05 = 21

10/1 – 12/31 => 4 x (3/12) = 1

= 567 - 21 - 1 = 547

Weighted average # shares 190

Basic EPS = ( $900 -  $27 ) ÷ $547

                = $873 ÷ $547 = 1.59

Management should select the depreciation method that
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

Option B

Explanation:

Depreciation refers to an  accounting tradition that enables a firm to compose off the worth of an asset throughout an amount of time, generally the beneficial life of the investment.

Assets like equipment and appliances are costly. Instead of recognizing the asset's full cost in the first year one, depreciating the asset helps businesses to distribute the burden and generate income from it.

Thus, depreciation relates to decrease in value of an asset so that expenses can be recorded efficiently and revenue could be computed as per the periods. Therefore, the method of depreciation should be chosen as per its revenue contribution to the entity using it.
