Answer:

H - The Panama Canal , The Platt Amendment

I - Before the Spanish-American War , The Monroe Doctrine, Early Part of WW1

W - War on the Central Powers , The Open Door Policy

Explanation:

 • Since Monroe's doctrine United States proclaimed the non-interference in affairs of other countries.
 • Until 1917 United States didn't interfere much in conflicts of other countries.
 • That changed with the Spanish-American War , which is a good example of American imperialism.
 • Even when WW1 broke out Americans waited until 1917 to enter the war.

President Wilson's speech called the Points provided one plan for ending World War I and securing permanent world peace.Presiden
alina1380 [7]

The Fourteen Points was a statement of principles for peace that was to be used for peace negotiations in order to end World War I. The principles were outlined in a January 8, 1918 speech on war aims and peace terms to the United States Congress by President Woodrow Wilson. Europeans generally welcomed Wilson's points,[1] but his main Allied colleagues (Georges Clemenceau of France, David Lloyd George of the United Kingdom, and Vittorio Orlando of Italy) were skeptical of the applicability of Wilsonian idealism.[2]

The United States had joined the Allied Powers in fighting the Central Powers on April 6, 1917. Its entry into the war had in part been due to Germany's resumption of submarine warfare against merchant ships trading with France and Britain. However, Wilson wanted to avoid the United States' involvement in the long-standing European tensions between the great powers; if America was going to fight, he wanted to try to unlink the war from nationalistic disputes or ambitions. The need for moral aims was made more important, when after the fall of the Russian government, the Bolsheviks disclosed secret treaties made between the Allies. Wilson's speech also responded to Vladimir Lenin'sDecree on Peace of November 1917, immediately after the October Revolution in 1917.

The speech made by Wilson took many domestic progressive ideas and translated them into foreign policy (free trade, open agreements, democracy and self-determination). The Fourteen Points speech was the only explicit statement of war aims by any of the nations fighting in World War I. Some belligerents gave general indications of their aims, but most kept their post-war goals private. The Fourteen Points in the speech were based on the research of the Inquiry, a team of about 150 advisers led by foreign-policy adviser Edward M. House, into the topics likely to arise in the anticipated peace conference.

There was much debate over the ratification of the Constitution. Choose either the Federalist or anti-Federalist position and ar
Zielflug [23.3K]

A federal constitution is one which sets up a system of federalism within a country. Federalism is a political system in which the national government and the smaller governments (states or provinces) each have their own powers that are specified by the constitution.

Argument for federalism

Federalists argued for counterbalancing branches of government. In light of charges that the Constitution created a strong national government.

Federalists argue that the separation of powers among the three branches of government protect the rights of the people.

Federalism against the Articles of Confederation

Federalism guides against secession. Secession is the breakaway of a part of the country or unit of the country or nation from it for the purpose of self- governance. This is possible because of its national government power. Power is concentrated at the centre unlike in a confederal States, the centre is weak, hence, secession is possible.

Using complete sentences, define government and discuss its four responsibilities. Identify the three systems of government and
andreev551 [17]

There are three branches of government: legislative, judicial and executive. Each branch is given its own independent suites within the government. The first branch to act is the legislative, declaring that a law should be made through congress; such as creating a environmental law on certain type of animal. The second branch is judicial, which decide how this law is going to be enacted; such as putting a ban on capturing or harming said animal. And the third branch is executive, this branch has to give its consent on the legislative and judicial approaches before they can be enacted.
