Answer:

A. The dependent variable is Height of the Parasail above water, and the independent variable is Speed of the Motorboat.

B. Thus, for every increase of 1 mph of speed, the parasail can fly higher \frac{5}{2}=2.5 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The table representing the height of the Parasail above water at different speed is,

Speed of the motorboat (mph)                    Height of the Parasail (feet)

12.5                                                                            5

14.5                                                                            10

16.5                                                                            15

18.5                                                                            20

20.5                                                                           25

22.5                                                                           30

The table gives the height of the Parasail for different speeds.

Thus, the value of the height depends on the speed of the motorboat.

A. The dependent variable is Height of the Parasail above water, and the independent variable is Speed of the Motorboat.

Also, for every increase of 2 mph of speed, the height increases by 5 feet.

B. Thus, for every increase of 1 mph of speed, the parasail can fly higher \frac{5}{2}=2.5 feet.

I have 4 factors. Three of my factors are 1, 2, and 6. What is my fourth factor?
SIZIF [17.4K]

The 4th factor would be 3. You would find this out through a factor tree. If you don't know the original number when you start you look at your numbers. A factor of 1 usually goes with the highest number, assuming that the number 6 is the highest factor, that would be the original number. As 2 is the other known factor than we know that 3 has to be the last factor, because 2 x 3 = 6. It cannot be the number 12 because then there would be 6 factors not the needed 4.

Which logarithmic equation is equivalent to the exponential equation below? E^a=35
oee [108]

Answer:

a = ln 35

Step-by-step explanation:

Given e^a = 35, take the natural log of both sides, obtaining:

ln e^a = ln 35. Recall that ln e^x = x, which means that ln e^a = a.

Then a = ln 35.

Next time, please share the answer choices!

Simplify the expression. Write the answer using scientific notation.
Neko [114]
We are given with two distances: 5,880,000,000,000 miles and 15.8 light-years. we convert first the light-years distance through the speed of light : 3 x 108 m/s. v = d/t; d = 3x10 8 m/s * 15.8 light years * 31536000 s = 1.4948 x1017 m = 9.28829 x 1013 miles. The difference thus is 8.70029 x 1013 miles

2=ln(x+7) solve for x
maria [59]

Answer:

e^2 -7 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

2=ln(x+7)

Raise each side to the base of e

e^2 = e^ln (x+7)

The e^ln cancel

e^2 = x+7

Subtract 7 from each side

e^2 -7 = x +7-7

e^2 -7 = x
