Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x = days, y = minutes

first day, she walked for 10 minutes......(1,10)

2nd day, she walked for 15 minutes.....(2,15)

now, we find the slope...

(1,10) , (2,15)

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = (15 - 10) / (2 - 1) = 5/1 = 5

now we use y = mx + b.....we are looking for b, the y int

y = mx + b

slope(m) = 5

u can use either set of points...(1,10)...x = 1 and y = 10

now we sub and find b

10 = 5(1) + b

10 = 5 + b

10 - 5 = b

5 = b

so this equation is y = 5x + 5

so to calculate the number of minutes she walked on day 20, sub in 20 for x and solve for y

y = 5x + 5

y = 5(20) + 5

y = 100 + 5

y = 105 <=== she walked for 105 minutes

Erica plotted the three towns closest to her house on a graph with town A
marta [7]
First, determine the distances from the towns.
  Town A to Town B: Opposite angle C
                      d = sqrt ((12 - 7)^2 + (9 - 9)^2)
                      d = 5
  Town B to Town C: Opposite Angle A
                      d = sqrt ((7 - 1)^2 + (9 - 1)^2)
                       d = 10
  Town A to Town C: Opposite Angle B
                       d = sqrt (12 - 1)^2 + (9 - 1)^2)
                        d = 13.6
The angle with largest measure is the one opposite the greatest distance. Thus, the arrangement would be:    C, A, B.

1.What is the true density of water? 2.What variables change the density of water? 3. How does water go against the concept of "
artcher [175]

Answer:

1. A common unit of measurement for

water's density is gram per milliliter

(1 g/ml) or 1 gram per cubic

centimeter (1 g/cm3). Actually, the

exact density of water is not really 1

g/ml, but rather a bit less (very, very

little less), at 0.9998395 g/ml at 4.0°

Celsius (39.2° Fahrenheit).

2. Water density changes with

temperature and salinity. Density is

measured as mass (g) per unit of

volume (cm). Water is densest at

3.98°C and is least dense at 0°C

(freezing point). Water density

changes with temperature and

salinity.

3. When water is a liquid, the water

molecules are packed relatively

close together but can slide past

each other and move around freely

(as stated earlier, that makes it a

liquid). Pure water has a density of

1.000 g/cm3 at 4° C. As the

temperature increases or decreases

from 4° C, the density of water

decreases.
