Brittany has to watch about 9 hours of movies. This is because to find the total amount of time she spent watching movies, you have to multiply the total movies she watched and the amount of time each movie is.

For this problem, the total movie is 3 and the time length of each movie is 3.

3x3 is 9

or you can add since this is a smaller number-

3+3+3 = 9

Hope this helps!

Solving systems of equations by substitution
SashulF [63]
Equation 1)  2x - 3y = -1
Equation 2)  y = x -1

Rearrange equation 2 so that x and y are on the same side. To do so, you subtract x from both sides.

2)  -x + y = -1
1)  2x - 3y = -1

Multiply ALL of equation 2 by 2.

2)  2(-x + y = -1)

Simplify.

2)  -2x + 2y = -1
1)  2x - 3y = -1

Add equations together.

-y = 0

So, y = 0

Plug in 0 for y in the first equation.

2x - 3y = -1

2x - 3(0) = -1

Simplify.

2x - 0 = -1

2x = -1

Divide both sides by 2.

x = -1/2

(-1/2 , 0)

USPshnik [31]

Answer: False.

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability for any event = \dfrac{\text{favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}}

Definition : A simple event is an event that has only one possible favorable outcomes.

If we toss a coin and roll a die .

The possible outcomes for event "tossing tails and rolling a 4 or 6" = {(T, 4) , (T,6)}

Since this event has 2 possible favorable  outcomes , Therefore it is not an simple event.

Hence, the given statement is "false".
