First simplify what you can. 2x3=6. 6-5=1. then simplify the other side. 2+7=9. 9÷3=3. which simplifies the whole problem to 6-(3-1) then simplify whats in the parenthesis you should get two. then that leaves 6-4 which leaves the answer at 2

Do everything in () first so do 2+7 divided by 3 and then do 2 times 3 then minus that answer by 5 then take that answer and - it by what you got with the fraction and minus that answer by 6

Square's side range is (√0,√100) =(0,10); this more than 0 and less than 10.

Identify the figure shown and find its surface area. Explain how you found your answer.
photoshop1234 [79]
This is a triangle prism, the base is a square and the four sides are equal triangles.

To find the surface area you need to first find the areas of the triangles, then the square, in the end you have to add them together.

Since we know the area of a triangle is 1/2bh we know that one if the triangle in the figure is
9*16/2=72(in^2)
there are four of these so we multiply it by 4
4*72=288(in^2 aka squared inches)

Then we need to find the area of the square. side * side=9*9=81 (in^2)

Add them together we get the surface area.
288+81=369 (in^2)

Sara is working on a Geometry problem in her Algebra class.

The problem requires Sara to use the two quadrilaterals below to answer a list of questions.

Part A: For what one value of are the perimeters of the quadrilaterals the same?

(Hint: The perimeter of a quadrilateral is the sum of its sides.)

Part B: For what one value of are the areas of the quadrilaterals the same?

(Hint: The area of a quadrilateral is the product of its base and height.)
