Y=x-3, because when you do rise over run you get 3/3 which is equal to 1, so that means 1x, or just x. it intercepts into -3 on both axis’s so that is where the -3 comes from. glad to help :)

Please help me! I’ll name you brainiest!!!
Kamila [148]

Answer:

80

Step-by-step explanation:

first, put in (5x-4) for the x in g(x).

g(f(x))=(5x-4)^2 -1

now, FOIL and simplify.

25x^2-40x+16-1

25x^2-40x+15

now, plug in -1 for x.

25(-1)^2-40(-1)+15

25+40+15

80

6. How much heat is lost cooling 25 grams of water from 90°C to 45°C?
sergey [27]

Answer:

4,7025 (kJ).

Step-by-step explanation:

1) according to the condition: m=25 gr.; t₂=90; t₁=45; c=4.18 J/(g°C);

2) the formula of required heat is

Q=c*m*(t₂- t₁);

3) according to the formula of heat:

Q=4.18*25*45=4702.5 (J).

Our environment is very sensitive to the amount of ozone in the upper atmosphere. The level of ozone normally found is 4.4 parts
Komok [63]

Solution:

To test the hypothesis is that the mean ozone level is different from 4.40 parts per million at 1% of significance level.

The null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis is :

$H_0: \mu = 4.40$

$H_a: \mu \neq 4.40$

The z-test statistics is :

$z=\frac{\overline x - \mu}{\left( \sigma / \sqrt n \right)} $

$z=\frac{4.2 - 4.4}{\left(0.7 / \sqrt{23} \right)}  $

$z =\frac{-0.2}{0.145}$

z = -1.37

The z critical value for the two tailed test at 99% confidence level is from the standard normal table, he z critical value for a two tailed at 99% confidence is 2.57

So the z critical value for a two tailed test at 99% confidence is ± 2.57

Conclusion :

The z values corresponding to the sample statistics falls in the critical region, so the null hypothesis is to be rejected at 1% level of significance. There is a sufficient evidence to indicate that the mean ozone level is different from 4.4 parts per million. The result is statistically significant.
