From the list of the presented list above. The one that is NOT a theme of “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar” is Romance. All other themes can be found in this story. Honor, betrayal and friendship are found but I would say that the general theme is betrayal.

“Et tu, Brute?” where the last words of julius Caesar to his friend Marcus Brutus at the moment he was assassinated. This signifies the worst unexpected betrayal.

I hope this helps, Regards.

Answer:

Romance.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" tells the story, betrayal of Caesar by his close friend and trusted companion Brutus. This story deals heavily on the theme of friendship, loyalty, honor and the betrayal of each other.

Brutus along with some conspirators instigated by Cassius planned on murdering Caesar. Brutus agreed with it for he thinks that if Caesar was to become the ruler of Rome, he will be too power hungry and might rule as a dictator. He thinks that Caesar was overly ambitious, and fearing for Rome to be under a dictator, he agreed to be part of the plan. But even this wasn't an easy thing to do. He deliberated on his loyalty to Caesar and his loyalty to Rome and decided that his love for his nation far exceeds the other. The whole plot involves the many themes of honor, betrayal and friendship but not of romance.
