The numerical values in this problem have been modified for testing purposes. Suppose composite scores on the ACT test for the h

igh school graduating class in a certain year had mean 21 and standard deviation 5.2.In al, 1,799,243 students in this class took the test. Of these, 170,777 had scores higher than 28 and another 54,167 had scores exactly 28. ACT scores are always whole numbers. The exactly Normal N(21, 5.2) distribution can include any value, not just whole numbers. What is more, there is no area exactly above 28 under the smooth Normal curve. So ACT scores can be only approximately Normal. To illustrate this fact, find (a) the percent of ACT scores greater than 28 using the actual counts reported. (Enter your answer rounded to two decimal places.) percent: Enter numeric value (b) the percent of ACT scores greater than or equal to 28, using the actual counts reported. (Enter your answer rounded to two decimal places.) percent: (c) the percent of observations that are greater than 28 using the N(21, 5.2) distribution. (The percent greater than or equal to 28 is the same, because there is no area exactly over 28.) (Enter your answer rounded to two decimal places.) percent

Solve the system by substitution. (Please Explain how you did it Ill give brainliest)
Musya8 [376]
Because the last equation already has the y eliminated so just need to get the other two to eliminate the y too

multiply 4 to the first equation to eliminate y, and you get
-4x-4y-4z=-32
-4x+4y+5z=7
now get rid of y so all you have left is
-8x+z=-25 (let call this equation #4)

now take equation #3 and #4 together to solve for one of the variables, i’ll solve for z first so i’ll get rid of x by multiply the equation #4 all by 4, you get

8x+8z=16
-8x+z=-25
solve it and get 9z= -9; z=-1

now you have z so take it and ply it into equation #3
2x+2(-1)=4
2x=6; x=3

take both of them, plug it in equation #1
-3-y-(-1)=-8
-y=-6 ; y=6

done so the answer is (x,y,z) = (3,6,-1)

Hello you guys can you help me with this thanks! Compare. Choose the correct symbol.
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

B) >

Step-by-step explanation:

You can compare fractions by converting them into a decimal and examining which one has the greater value.

3/4 = 0.75

3/5 = 0.6

From this, we can see that 3/4 is greater than 3/5, so the sign will be >.

----

note: You can also find the least common denomiator between the fractions and compare their numerator values to find which one is bigger. The one with the larger numerator will be the greater fraction.

hope this helps!

Kyle purchased a 20 lb. pumpkin for $5.95. Elizabeth purchased a 15 lb. pumpkin for $5.00. Elijah purchased an 8 oz. pumpkin for
Ivan

Kyle purchased a 20 lb. pumpkin for $5.95.

Cost per lb of pumpkin for Kyle = 5.95/ 12 = $0.496.

Elizabeth purchased a 15 lb. pumpkin for $5.00.

Cost per lb of pumpkin for Elizabeth = 5.00/15 = $0.333.

Elijah purchased an 8 oz. pumpkin for $ 0.16.

16 oz = 1 lb

8 oz = 0.5 lb.

Cost per lb of pumpkin for Elijah = 0.16/ 0.5 = $ 0.32.

Cost per lb of pumpkin for Elijah is $ 0.32 is the lowest price per lb of pumpkin .

Cost per lb of pumpkin for Kyle is $ $0.496 is the highest price per lb of pumpkin .

Therefore, Elijah got the best deal and Kyle got the worst deal.
