Describe how a cell produces and releases proteins.
marshall27 [118]
The simplest way to explain the production and release of proteins by a cell is this: the DNA is transcribed into what we call the mRNA, which is then translated to proteins. The latter transfers into endoplasmic reticulum and is then transported to the Golgi body. This is for even further modification and then packaged into exocytotic vacuoles. The proteins are then released by a process called exocytosis.

Which statement best describes the role of the cell members in in this model?
Masteriza [31]

Answer:

the cell membrane allows the solute to enter the cell which causes the cell to shrink.

Explanation:

cell membrane is semipermeable membrane, it selectively allows the movement of solute, water, salts, etc. in and out. when the solute enters the cell membrane it increased the solute concentration inside the cell. water gradient outside the cell wall decreased, hence water started to move outside from the cell membrane and causing the cell to shrink.
