4 0

Answer:

The remainder would be 1 or 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the 5 consecutive positive integers are,

x,  x + 1,  x + 2,  x + 3,  x + 4,

Average =\frac{\text{Sum of all observation}}{\text{Number of observations}}

Since, the average of these 5 numbers = \frac{x+x+1+x+2+x+3+x+4}{5}

=\frac{5x+10}{5}

= x + 2

If x + 2 = odd,

⇒ x = odd - 2 = odd - even = odd

⇒ x + 4 = odd + even = odd

∵ an odd number is represented by '2n + 1'

Where, n = 0, 1, 2, 3, ........

Now, 2n + 1 = 1( mod 4) if n = even

While, 2n + 1 = 3( mod 4) if n = odd,

Hence, when the largest of the five integers is divided by 4 remainder would be 1 or 3.

Calculate the pay for the following day of a
andrezito [222]

Answer:Pay = $106.25

Step-by-step explanation:

08:00 12:15 is 4hours and 15min

13:00  17:15 is 4hours and 15min

4hours 15min + 4hours 15min =  8.5hours (8hours and 30min)

Per hour is $12.50

12.50 * 8.5 = 106.25

Pay = $106.25

Professor's annuity corp. offers a lifetime annuity to retiring professors. for a payment of $90,000 at age 65, the firm will pa
vovangra [49]
This can be solved by equating the future value of the payment F1, and the future value of the annuity F2, after n=12*15=180 months.
i is the monthly interest.
P=payment of 90000
A=monthly amount of 850

F1=P(1+i)^n=90000(1+i)^180
F2=A*((1+i)^n-1)/i=850((1+i)^180-1)/i

equate F1=F2 and solve for i (only unknown) by trial and error, fix-point iteration or Newton's method to get i=0.00650439,or 0.650439%
The monthly interest rate is 0.650439%.

Therefore the APR=12*i=7.805271%, or the effective interest rate is
(1+i)^12-1=8.09064%
