First, determine the width of the court by dividing the area by the length.
                               width = area / length
                               width = 162 m²/18 m = 9 m
Then, determine the perimeter of the court by the equation
                               P = 2L + 2W
where L and W are length and width, respectively.
                             P = 2(18m) + 2(9m) = 54 m
Given that every 20 m roll of tape costs $2.79, and even if the court is only 54 m, Jeff still needs to buy 3 20-m roll
                       total cost = ($2.79) x 3 = $8.37
Thus, the answer is letter B.

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&4\\1&3\end{array}\right]

B=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&1\\3&7\end{array}\right]

A. Find AB:

AB=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&4\\1&3\end{array}\right]\cdot \left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&1\\3&7\end{array}\right]=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2\cdot (-2)+4\cdot 3&-2\cdot 1+4\cdot 7\\1\cdot (-2)+3\cdot 3&1\cdot 1+3\cdot 7\end{array}\right]=\left[\begin{array}{cc}16&26\\7&22\end{array}\right]

B. Find BA:

BA=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&1\\3&7\end{array}\right]\cdot \left[\begin{array}{cc}-2&4\\1&3\end{array}\right]=\left[\begin{array}{cc}-2\cdot (-2)+1\cdot 1&-2\cdot 4+1\cdot 3\\3\cdot (-2)+7\cdot 1&3\cdot 4+7\cdot 3\end{array}\right]=\left[\begin{array}{cc}5&-5\\1&33\end{array}\right]

C. Answers are not the same

D. Matrices multiplication is not commutastive in general, so

AB\neq BA

Step-by-step explanation:

The decibel level of the sound of a monster truck is

Further explanation:

Decibel is defined as a unit which is used to measure the relative loudness or intensity of the sound.

In the question it is given that the intensity of the sound of a monster truck is watts per square inch.

The formula which is used to calculate the decibel level of a sound is as follows:

Here, represents the intensity of the sound of a monster truck and represents the threshold intensity of hearing at .

The value of the threshold intensity of hearing at is watts per square meter.

This implies that the valiue of is watts per square meter.

The intensity of the sound of a monster is given in unit of per square inch.

The relation between per square inch and per square meter is as follows:

So, the intensity of a monster truck is converted into per square meter as follows:

This implies that the value of is watts per square meter.

Now, substitute the value of and in the equation .

The approximated value of the above equation is as follows:

From the above calculation it is concluded that the decibel level of the sound of a monster truck is .
