Answer:

Kentucky was the 15th U.S. state, admitted to the Union on June 1, 1792, after the American Revolutionary War. Kentucky was initially neutral in the American Civil War, but joined the Union side after a Confederate invasion in 1861. The state remained under Union control for most of the war.

Hope this helps!

What disturbing quality does heathcliff exhibit in relation to his feelings for hindley?
ExtremeBDS [4]

First of all, Heatchliff does not have feelings for Hindley, he rather has feelings against Hindley and very strong and negative ones at that. Psychologically speaking, Heathcliff shows a very vengeful sadism against Hindley as he comes back a well off man who manipulates Hindley's gambling and drinking addictions in order to financially ruin him and have him mortgage Wuthering Heights to Heathclif in order to pay off his gambling and drinking debts. This will result in HIndley's death later in the story.

Public Policy and Management Considerations in Digital Government Initiatives .
skelet666 [1.2K]

There are a number of policy and management considerations when it comes to digital government initiatives.

The first, since public money is being spent, is whether or not the program has value or is a good use of public money.

The second is whether or not there is the correct staffing to ensure success.

Third is whether the correct infrastructure exists

Fourth is whether there are existing standards for privacy, safety, and user information or do those need to be created.

And fifth is whether stakeholders have been consulted to find out what is actually needed.

How do a poem and a speech use language to achieve their goals?
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

it is a subjective art form that affords its authors the right to express themselves in ways both classical and innovative. Poems do not have to rhyme, neither do they have to follow any special structure or include any precise style. Still, most poems do emphasize a few key characteristics. These are stylistic choices that can diversify from piece to piece but must nevertheless be made by every poet. Figures of speech, or figurative language, are ways of describing or explaining things in a non-literal or non-traditional way. Imagery is something ferroconcrete, like a sight, smell or taste. The imagery depicts what the poet sees, hears or otherwise senses, be it a literal image or one that exists in his mind. Visual imagery, which describes what the poet sees, is the most common type of image in poetry. It creates a picture that the reader or audience can see in his mind. The punctuation and composition of the poem deal with how it is systematized on the page and how the author signifies for you to read it.

hat is popular sovereignty? Why was this an important new idea at the time of the Constitution was written?
KiRa [710]
Popular Sovereignty is the idea that power comes from the People. Prior to the Constitution, Power came from a King, Queen, or special class (nobility or priests). Power was concentrated within one person. The idea that a common person had the same rights as one from a noble class was revolutionary and went against all the teachings of the day. The idea that common people had the power to overthrow a ruler for being corrupt was even more revolutionary. The Constitution was often referred to as the "Grand Experiment" because none of the Founding Fathers were sure if it would actually work.
