Answer:Minoan civilization develop around 2000BCE.

Explanation:

Minoan civilization started around 2000BCE and lasted till 1400BCE. Minoan was located on the island of Crete which is now a part of Greece today.

This period was known as the first advanced and oldest civilization in Europe because the Minoans were well known for the magnificent houses they constructed, beautiful artworks and a large network of trade. The civilization was huge but eventually collapsed.

The name Minoan was derived was derived from their powerful king known as King Minos. It was learnt that Minos commanded a strong and large army which defeated a rival city called Athens. The civilization of the Minoan has been regarded as the first of its kind in Europe.

Civilization made people respect the Minoans, they palatial houses constructed and well structured plumbing system and their extensive trade. In the third millennium BC, several areas on the island has developed massively into great great center of commerce. This gave the upper class of the society an enabling environment to exercise power and authority over the lower class. It’s birthed stratification in the society.

The Minoans writings are called Linear A, The Mycenaeans are the ones who took over their island adopted their culture and converted their writings into own language called Linear B.
