This is kind of an opinion based answer, so ill gove you my opinion. So, before world war 2 there were specific gender roles. After, all the men had to go to war which forced the women to get jibs and work, which wasnt very commin for women. They took on all the hard labor jobs that men had to do. This basically changdd the way women were seen, they are ni longer frail and weak. Also, this brought attention to war and how it is not safe. Esoecially for japanese ppl at the time
