Divide £42 in the ratio 4:3

Geography
1 answer:
inysia [295]3 years ago
4 0

Answer:

24:18

Explanation:

Add up the number of parts in total so 4 +3 = 7. Now divide 42 by 7 which = 6. 6 is equal to one part of the money. To get the ratio 4:3 we must times 6 by 3 to get the right hand side and 6 by 4 to get the left hands side.

So the ratio is (6 x 4) : (6 x 3). This can be multiplied out to make 24 : 18
