How do you round 0.3875 to the nearest tenth?

English

7 0

it would be 0.4

nearest tenth is the first place after the decimal. 3 is on the tenth place, 8 is on the hundredth place, 7 is on the thousandth place, and so on. Round the tenths place up if the hundredths place is 5 or more.

(if it was less than 5, we would under estimate)

Answer: 0.4

nearest tenth is the first place after the decimal so the 3
the digit after the 3 is 8, so we overestimate since it's equal to or more than 5 (if it was less than 5, we would under estimate) and so the answer is 0.4

The chicken sandwiches are more expensive than double cheese burgers fact or opinion?
harkovskaia [24]
"The chicken sandwiches are more expensive than double cheese burgers." The statement presented shows that it is a FACT one. A fact statement can easily be known by just taking a look at it and try to distinguish those words. If those words are the ones you can find in an opinion statement, then it is an opinion such as "for me," "I think," etc.

In another physics experiment, carts run along a frictionless, level track. Cart A is 1 kg and Cart B is 2 kg. Initially cart A

Answer: v_{f_A} = 5 m/s

Explanation: For collisions, use linear momentum, whose formula is: P = m.v and knowing the law of conservation states that momentum of a closed system is constant in time, i.e. initial momentum equals final momentum:

p_{f} = p_{i}

m_{A}v_{f_A} + m_{B}v_{f_B} = m_{A}v_{i_A} + m_{B}v_{i_B}

Suppose the referential for velocity is positive to the right:

1.v_{f_A} + 2.(-3.5) = 1.(+2) + 2.(-7)

1.v_{f_A} = 7 + 2 - 14

v_{f_A} = - 5

The negative sign, in this case, indicates cart A is going to the left.

The magnitude of velocity of cart A is 5 m/s
