Subtract 5x from both sides. You'll get 3x=15/2
Turn 15/2 into a mixed number. 7 1/2
Divide 3 both sides.
Answer: 2 1/2

Check your work.

5*2 1/2 =12.5 3*2 1/2= 7.5
Therefore 12.5+7.5=12.5+7.5
12.5+7.5=20
Therefore the answer is 2.5 or 2 1/2

We need to get the 3x alone so
5X+3X=5X+15÷2
(÷5x)3X=5X+7.5(÷5X)
(÷3)X=7.5(÷3)
X=7.5÷3
X=2.s<u />

To find the speed you must write S= d/t so for the first one we will chang 15 m to b so it is = 0.25h so s=3/0.25h = 12km/h an why secand is 45 m to h = 0.75h so S=d/t S =12/0.75 =16 km/h the to find the totel speed we should + the speed together so 12 + 16 = 28 km/h
