Tell General Howard I know his heart. What he told me before, I have it in my heart. I am tired of fighting. Our Chiefs are kill

ed; Looking Glass is dead, Ta Hool Hool Shute is dead. The old men are all dead. It is the young men who say yes or no. He who led on the young men is dead. It is cold, and we have no blankets; the little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food. No one knows where they are—perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my Chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever. What is the speaker's overall point in this passage?

Answer:

Thank goodness I watched this a million times <3

When Mama Odie says "dont matter what ya' look like, dont matter what ya' wear" That was inferring that no matter how you look, no matter you skin color or clothing choice you are still special in your own way weather someone else sees or not.

Question 5 of 23
MAVERICK [17]

We can actually see here that the concept that Wiesel addressed in both of these passages is: D. He explains that people will forget him, but not the Holocaust.

Who is Elie Wiesel?

Elie Wiesel was known to be a survivor of the Holocaust. He is known to be a Romanian-born American writer and Nobel laureate.

We see that Elie Wiesel was part of the Holocaust. But in his both speeches, it's clear that he inferred that people will forget him but will never forget the Holocaust.
