The first Thanksgiving ceremony was planned in Plymouth during the harvest celebration. It was celebrated by pilgrims who were simple Christians and held from a poor family.  

It denoted the celebration of the fall harvest which was wholesome and complete. Hence the pilgrims organized a feast in order to render thanks to the almighty who had given them much food supply in the form of great fall harvest.  

Friends and family gathered together and feasted on roasted turkey to celebrate the feast. It happened in Plymouth and the celebrations continued for three days with entertainment activities
