Remember that the diameter is the entire distance from one edge to another one straight across (It has to pass through the center point of the circle!). Half of the diameter is the radius.

r = d/2

Where, r is the radius, and d is the diameter.

The  Area of a Circle can be found using this formula:
A = <span>πr^2

r = 1.7/2

A = </span><span>π*(1.7/2)^2
A = </span><span>π * (1.7*1.7)/(2*2)
A = </span><span>π * 2.89 / 4

A = 0.7225</span><span>π</span>

Which properties justify the steps taken to solve the system? {3x−4y=9 2x+8y=6
nevsk [136]

The properties that justify the steps taken to solve the given system are as follows:

6x – 8y = 18, 2x + 8y = 6

[Multiplication property of equality]

8x = 24

[Addition property of equality]

x = 3

[Division property of equality]

3(3) – 4y = 9

[Substitution property of equality]

9 – 4y = 9

[Simplify]

-4y = 0

[Subtraction property of equality]

y = 0

[Division property of equality]

<em>\sf\:H^{2}=P^{2}+B^{2}</em>

  • P = 5
  • B = 10

\sf\:H^{2}= {5}^{2}  +  {10}^{2}

\sf\:H^{2}=25 + 100

\sf\:H^{2}=125

\sf\:H =  \sqrt{125}

\sf\:H = 5 \sqrt{5}

Using the quadratic formula to solve x2 = 5 – x, what are the values of x?
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

x²=5-x

x²+x-5=0

1x²+1x²-5=0

[ax²+bx²+c=0]

∆=b²-4ac

∆=1²-4(-5)(1)=1+20=21

x=(-b±√∆)/2a

x=(-1±√21)/2

meaning:

x=(-1+√21)/2 or x=(-1-√21)/2
