b. Science is able to answer society's questions about why life exists.
- this is wrong, as we still don't have an answer as to why life exists.

-this is not always true. Sometimes science is done just to find out new information rather than share views.

d. Science can be used to address societal issues and to inform policy.
-I think that this is the best answer! For example a scientific study in psychology can inform educational policies and a study into the effects of alcohol can inform an informational campaign about the threats of drinking.
