The two true statements are

 • The American colonies were settled by diverse groups of people.
 • New England colonies were settled for religious reasons.

Explanation:

Europeans started colonizing the countries of America from the 15th century. The route to the Americas was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492. The Europeans termed the Americas as ‘New world’.

Cuba, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola were the bases of Spanish colonization. The British began with a failed attempt but later on succeeded in colonizing parts of America. The French also had colonies in America.

The first settlers in New England colonies were pilgrims who were Puritans who faced religious persecution in England. They believed that their religious congregations shouldn’t be associated with the English church. The solution they found to escape religious persecution was to leave England and settle in the Americas.

HOW DID THE RELATIONS OF THE US WITH FOREIGN NATIONAL EAD TO A RISE OF NATIONALISM?
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Conflicts with European countries caused them to sign the Monroe Doctrine, which specified that the United States would not intervene in the internal affairs of European countries. They formed friendly ties with British Canada and the Spanish province of Florida. These feelings of patriotism and solidarity arose as a result.

Why did The truce that was created in Congress by the Missouri Compromise began to break down?
PSYCHO15rus [73]
It began to break down because it was only a temporary solution to the problem. The next time that slavery and new states came into question, the compromise became irrelevant because a new one had to be found to solve the issues with places like Texas and New Mexico, and California, and things like that.
