Answer:

Giuseppe Garibaldi has been nicknamed the "hero of two worlds" because of his involvement in conflicts in Europe and South America. One of the most notable figures of Italian unification, designed by the Republican organization Young Italy of which he was part alongside Giuseppe Mazzini and Camilo Benso, Count of Cavour. After successive wars that took place in Brazil and Uruguay, Garibaldi returns to Italy in 1848 to fight in Lombardy against the Austrian army and to start the fight for Italian unification. He formed the Italian Legion, with many recruits from Piedmont and the territories of Lombardy and Veneto, under Austrian rule. The legion increased to about 1,000 men and gained discipline and organization. Pope Pius IX called for military help from Catholic countries. Aurelio Saliceti and Montecchi left the triumvirate. Their seats were filled March 29 by Aurelio Saffi and Giuseppe Mazzini, the founder of the Young Italy movement, which had been the guiding spirit of the republic from the beginning. At the end of 1848, the Pope, fearing the liberal forces, left Rome, where Garibaldi went with a group of volunteers. In February 1849, he was elected republican deputy in the constituent assembly of the newly proclaimed Roman Republic.

Are there any complanies like.the East India Companies in existance today? how are they different?
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer

British East India Company. It turns out, that India was never originally colonized by the British crown, but by a multinational company (MNC). Robert Clive, who won the Battle Of Palashi (‘Plassey’ for ‘Hey bear, ek gin and tonic idaar!’ folks), was an employee (‘Team Leader’ in 21st-century terms) of the world’s first public limited company. (Britons had equity stakes and to make favorable trading deals, the company ended up having an army.)That hired army ended up ousting the weak-by-then Mughals and accidentally ended up with a nation. Ours. Yes, a large company, so influential and powerful, that it made laws of another nation. The modern equivalent would be if, say, Coca-Cola removed the Chinese premier and started running it. It’s unheard of, mad. But that’s what happened, and that is how I am writing this column in English and you’re reading it in English, both parties pretending as we folks have always been English speakers and writers. All because a bunch of company middle management wanted to protect their investments and threaten some nabobs for their tea and silk and spice and opium trade. And the company’s armies also meted out their version of justice. This begs the question: can a company do that? Today, if you visit the dockland area of London from where the East India Company ships once sailed, hundreds a day to rule Calcutta, Bombay, and Madras, there’s a wildlife reserve, a jogging track, an indoor concert hall called the O2 Arena, a bunch of suburban high-rises that look a bit like Whitefield in Bengaluru, and an HSBC call center. Zero signs that it was once the epicenter of the imperial world, ruling 3/4th of the planet with trade.

Apush briefly explain one important difference between the economic systems of the north and the south in the period 1790-1840
Harlamova29_29 [7]

One important difference between the economic systems of the north and the south in the period 1790-1840 was Industrialization and Immigration.

Basically, the slave economy of the south supported agriculture, while the free society in the North facilitated industrialization. By the mid-1800s, less than 10 percent of the United States' industrial capacity was located in the South, whereas the North was responsible for the production of 97 percent of the country's firearms and 93 percent of its pig iron… 80 percent of the South population worked on the farms, whereas only 40 percent of the North were employed in agriculture.

The job opportunities created by industrialization in the North served as a major attraction to European immigrants, which led to building major cities in the North. By the mid-1800s, the population of the North was about 23 million while the South's population was around nine million.
