In yeast, you have sequenced a piece of wild-type DNA and it clearly contains a gene, but you do not know what gene it is. There

fore, to investigate further, you would like to find out its mutant phenotype. How would you use the cloned wild-type gene to do so?

Answer:

Introduce a mutation into the gene

Explanation:

In order to understand what is the purpose of the gene (protein) is there are a couple of options that can be take to identify it;s purpose.

One way to do this is to introduce a mutation into the wild type gene clone by site directed mutagenesis or by gene disruption. After the cloned gene is altered it can be re-introduced back into the wild-type yeast. The yeast is then allowed to multiply and the effect that the mutation has on the yeas can be observed.

Answer:

Creating Mutant phenotype, both allele for that quality ought to be change (with respect to prevailing phenotype ,regardless of whether one duplicate is normal, phenotype will be normal). If that quality can't play out its capacity ,at that point it's lack will be found in freak phenotype, and we look at wild kind one and freak , capacity of that quality can be known, as this capacity will discover in ordinary wild sort one and missing in freak phenotype. Steps-take to cloning vector, one contain ordinary wild sort quality and second contain mutant gene. Addition them independently in various host cell and see the outcome.

Describe how an ecosystem that contains insects, water, algae, and bird work together to provide life.
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

An ecosystem that contains insects, water, algae, and birds all work together by feeding one-another.

Explanation:

Algae are typically found within water. Algae use carbon dioxide, converting water to organic matter and oxygen. They are important sources of dissolved oxygen in a water confine.

Now, since algae help water by oxygenating it, living things are able to drink the water.

..This helps the bird, since it needs to drink water. As all living things do.

Sorry if this is a little confusing!

Which types of ecosystems are threatened most severely by invasive species?

Isolated habitats, such those on islands and in lakes, are the ones that are most at risk from exotic species. An island's isolation from the rest of the world keeps its native species there.

What is the main reason why animals are going extinct?

Due to human activity, extinction rates are increasing 1,000–10,000 times quicker than they were in the past. Extinction in the modern era is mostly caused by habitat loss and degradation (primarily deforestation), overexploitation (overfishing and hunting), invasive species, climate change, and nitrogen pollution.

Which of these is NOT a renewable energy resource?
koban [17]
I believe the answer is B. I say Natural gas because the materials used for the natural gas can run out. Renewable energy sources are sources of energy that are continuous and do not run out. Biomass is gotten from waste of living things, as long as there are living things, it lasts. The wind keeps coming, so it provides more energy. Geothermal energy is the energy generated and stored in the earth. There will always be heat on earth. Hope i helped. Have a nice day. Happy new year.
