<u><em>Answer: B. 15.</em></u>

<em><u>Explanation:  A right triangle is a triangle that contains one right angle. The sides that make up the right angle are the legs, and the sides opposite the right angle is the hypotenuse. The hypotenuse is always the longest side of a right triangle. Use the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the hypotenuse, c.</u></em>

<u><em>Pythagorean theorem: a²+b²=c²</em></u>

2²+12²=c²

2²=2*2=4

12²=12*12=144

4+144=c²

c²=225

<u><em>C=15 ←← *Final Answer (correct)!*</em></u>

<u><em>Hope this helps!</em></u>

<u><em>Thanks!</em></u>

<u><em>Have a great day!</em></u>

Let c be the hypotenuse
so by pythagoras theorem
a^2+b^2=c^2
2^2+12^2=c^2
4+144=c^2
C^2=225
C=15

The sum of six fifths 6 5 and six timessix times a number is equal to four fifths 4 5 subtracted from seven timesseven times the
maw [93]

Answer :

The required number is 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The sum of six fifths and six times a number is equal to four fifths subtracted from seven times the number.

To find : The number ?

Solution :

Let the number be 'x'.

The sum of six fifths and six times a number i.e.  \frac{6}{5}+6x

Four fifths subtracted from seven times the number i.e. 7x-\frac{4}{5}

According to question,

\frac{6}{5}+6x=7x-\frac{4}{5}

7x-6x=\frac{6}{5}+\frac{4}{5}

x=\frac{10}{5}

x=2

The required number is 2.

Which type of triangle is best
Andrews [41]
Equilateral triangle- Where each angle of the triangle is measured equally.

Scalene triangle- A triangle where all angles are unequal.

Isosceles triangle- A triangle where two angles are equal.

Right triangle- A triangle with a right angle or 90° angle.

Now your question is what is the best triangle. That is an opinion question so I can't say. But out of the triangles above you could pick which one you think is the best :)

Solving a quadratic equation when a is not equal to 1 by completing the square:
LenKa [72]
<h3>Answer:</h3>

x² -6x = -13 ⇒ x ∈ {3-2i, 2+2i}

<h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

To make a=1, divide the equation by the coefficient of x², which is 8.

... x² -6x = -13 . . . . . . your blanks are filled with -6 and -13

Now, to complete the square, add the square of half the x-coefficient:

... (-6/2)² = 9.

... x² -6x +9 = -4 . . . 9 added to both sides

... (x -3)² = -4 . . . . . rewrite as a square

... x -3 = ±2i . . . . . . take the square root

... x = 3 ±2i . . . . . . . add 3

The solutions are the complex numbers x = 3 ±2i.

Write the equation of the line that passes through the given points.<br> (0,5) and (-2,-4)
Sati [7]

Answer:

y=\frac{9}{2}x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the equation of the a line that passes through the two given points, we must first find the slope between the two points. We can do this by using the slope formula. The slope formula is:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

where m is the slope and (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) are two points.

By plugging in (-2, -4) and (0, 5) for (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) respectively, we get:

y=\frac{5-(-4)}{0-(-2)}=\frac{9}{2}

So the slope is 9/2. Now we that we have found the slope, we can write an equation. Normally, when we are given two points, we would pick one of the points and plug it into the point-slope form and then solve for slope-intercept form. Here, notice that one of the points give, (0, 5), is the y-intercept. Knowing this, we can plug in 5 for the y-intercept into the slope-intercept form to get our equation. Remember, slope-intercept form is:

y = mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Pugging in 9/2 for m and 5 for b we get:

y=\frac{9}{2}x+5

which would be our equation.

I hope this helps. Happy studying.
