c. Abigail claims that Mary’s form is coming to her in the shape of an evil bird. 8

e. The girls repeat Mary’s words in an annoying chant. 9

g. Reverend Hale quits the court. 10

Explanation:

Arthur Miller's The Crucible is a play that revolves around the Salem witch trials of 1962 where young girls were accused of partaking with the devil. The play delved deep into the community of Salem where people were wrongfully accused of the black arts and sentenced to death.

Act 3 is in the courtroom where the case was heard before Judge Danforth. Francis and Giles burst into the courtroom with 'evidence' but ended up making things worse.

John Proctor had come with Mary when he learned that his wife Elizabeth who's being held imprisoned is pregnant.

Mary then decides to tell the truth but when Abigail and the other girls came to the room, they all accused Mary of acting on them.

Abigail claims that a cold wind is engulfing her, indirectly accusing Mary of the act.

Then John Proctor told the court about his adultery with Abigail, which his wife denies.

When Elizabeth is summoned and asked about the lechery, she denies, which John then told her he's confessed.

Then Abigail and the girls began to act like they see a black evil bird coming towards them, and repeat whatever Mary says.

All of it was too much for Rev. hale who decided to quit the courtroom.
