To solve for q subtract 2/3 from both sides:

(1/2-2/3)=q+(2/3-2/3)
(-1/6)=q
q= -1/6

I hope this helped!!

***NEED HELP FAST!!!!!***<br> What is the volume of figure A in the composite figure?
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

30 in

Step-by-step explanation:

subtract 5 inches from 8 inches and you get 3 inches (the height)

then we already have the given 4 inches (the width)

then finally we can see from figure b that the depth is 5 inches

you multiply all of them together and get 60, before dividing that in half to get 30.

Graph the function -2x+5y=10
loris [4]
An equation of the form ax+by+c=0, where x, y are variable, and a, b, c are numbers, is called a "linear equation"

the reason we call it linear, is that all solutions (x, y) to this equation, when plotted in the x-y axis, form a line.

To draw this line, 2 points are enough, that is 2 solutions (x, y) of the equation.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-2x+5y-10=0 is a linear equation (a=-2, b=5, c=-10)

to find 2 solutions, we set x or y any value we want, and solve for the other

for example:

let x=0,

then

-2x+5y-10=0 becomes 5y-10=0, so y=2

this gives us the solution (0, 2)

another example; set y=0

then -2x+5y-10=0 becomes -2x-10=0; -2x=10 so x=-5

thus another solution is (-5, 0)

Draw these 2 points, and join them with a line, as shown in the figure.

A stamp collector bought 160 stamps for $25.00. The purchase included 5¢ stamps, 15¢ stamps, and 25¢ stamps. The number of 15¢ s
Umnica [9.8K]
X - number of 5 c stamps,
y - number of 15 c stamps,
z - number of 25 c stamps.
The system:
x + y + z = 160
y = 3 x
0.05 x + 0.15 y + 0.25 z = 25  / *  100
-------------------------------------------------
x + y + z = 160
y = 3 x
5 x + 15 y + 25 z = 2500  / : 5
----------------------------------------
x + 3 x + z = 160
x + 3 y + 5 z = 500
-------------------------
4 x + z = 160    / * ( - 1 )
10 x + 5 z = 500  / : 5
------------------------------
- 4 x - z = - 160
+
  2 x + z =  100
-------------------------
- 2 x = - 160
x = 30,  y = 90
z = 160 - 120 = 40
Answer:
-  30 of 5 c stamps,
-  90 of 15 c stamps,
-  40 of 25 c stamps.
