How do you divide with the median

Mathematics

When doing the median you first place the numbers for least to greatest, then you cross off each side until you get your middle number. If the is two middle numbers then you add the two middle numbers the divide by two. Example:
What is the median for the numbers 12,24,35,2,67,80,45,and 95? First put the numbers from least to greatest. 2,12,24,35,45,67,80,95. ( REMEMBER that if you have an even number of numbers than your going to have two medians, if you have an odd number of numbers than you will have one median!) the middle numbers are 35 and 45, so you add 45+35 which equals 80. 80 divided by 2 is 40. Hope my example helped you understand this! :)

Which set of coordinates, paired with (-3, -2) and (-5, -2), result in a square?
dsp73

Answer:

  (c)  (-3, 0) and (-5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The given coordinates are -3 -(-5) = 2 units apart on the horizontal line y=-2.

Then the needed coordinates will be on the vertical lines x=-5 and x=-3, and will have y-coordinates that are different from -2 by 2: either -4 or 0.

The points that meet these requirements are (-3, 0) and (-5, 0).
